Rest in peace Mister

We first met Mister 15 years ago. We rescued him from out near my uncles house. Of course my mom said we were not going to be keeping him and she called around to local animal rescue groups. One group HEART said they could help us find him a home if we would foster him. Lauren and I fell head over heals in love with him. He was so sweet, young and active. He let us carry him around like a baby doll. He most definitely loved us as much as we loved him. My mom said we could keep him! We were so happy. Mister's nickname was miz. My nickname became siz and our friend pat was briz, sometimes we would call lauren fiz. We all loved miz. My mom continued to become involved with the group HEART. I can't imagine how our life would have been if we would have never saved mister. Because of him we have helped *hundreds* of animals. Because of him my mom became a member of HEART, which lead to her being on the board and now the executive director of Operation Pets. Mister really has changed our life, in so many ways.

I'll never forget his quirky personality. He was a sweetheart but he did bite, and hard! We still loved him though. Mister had a really good loving life. At 15 years old, he has now been put to rest. Today we are not only loosing a beloved pet but a part of our life is now over. This is really hard for me.

Since moving out of my mom's house three years ago I have lost a lot of time with my animals. But my love for them will never fade. A few days ago I went to visit him and he was so happy to see me. I pet him and he didn't even bite me :) I told him how much I loved and appreciated him and that it was ok for him to go. It was so hard for me to leave him, I kept going back just to pet him a little more. I love him so much.

internet free days...

Jason and I have decided to cut our computer use down by a ton. We set a goal for 3 days to not use the internet until Hunter goes to bed for the night. Today was day 1. We did great, we had an awesome day and got a ton done! I will admit I missed facebook... but this will be a good change. After the 3 days Jas and I are going to reevaluate. I'm thinking we should continue on like this, maybe adding in computer time during Hunter's naps. But this will most def be a good thing for all of us!

So check out some of what I did today!

7:30 am... I was painting babyfood jars! Jason thinks I'm nuts!

I got my inspiration for this project from Val, check out her AWESOME blog

Jason, Hunter and I went to amvets and got some great deals. I got a bunch of picture frames, a really funky vase and curtains for Jason's music room, my art room and the upstairs hallway. We also scored on this The Original Rollercoaster by Anatex for only 4 bucks! Got all of that for $23 :)

It was a great day!
I'm SO happy to be home, it doesn't even feel like I was in PA yesterday.

My house is clean, my baby happily sleeping
